Hi everyone! Today Im going to tell you some things that happend/going to happen in my school. First of all, two weeks ago We had a Remembrence Day assembly. It went pretty good. I was in it :). We also had this thing called "Zumba" on Nov 13. Zumba is a dancing/fitness thing. It was sooo fun! I wish we could do it again. Dance dance dance! Okay well back to what were doing in school/class. In our class we are doing this french thing called Club Mystery. We watched 2 videos about it. There was this boy that is a detective and he was trying to say his name to the code thing. Well it's a detective school I think and they need to know your name to come in. The boy kept trying to say his name but a dog kept barking. I wonder What his name is. All I know is thta his first name starts with L and his last name starts with T. The second video, the funny thing was that someone had my name except spelt diffrently. In my class we gatherd bottles for a experiment the grade 4's did rain gauges with bogger bottles (Like family size). The grade 5's did a model of a lung of people With smaller bottles (like the ones you gt at pizza places and stuff I think). Now let me tell you what rain gauges are if you DONt  know. It is a rain measure thing. To make it you need:

1. A family size bottle

2. rocks

3. a small ruler

4. Maybe a backyard (You could put it in balcony if you want)

5. Wait for it to rain and I think that's it.

Now I cant really tell you how to make the lung because its hard to explain. Sorry. Hope you enjoyed my newsletter! Are you excited foro Christmas? I am! Bye!

Jewels

by Melissa Ko (Melanie's mom)

Seeds are planted in the ground

Silently transforming wherever they're found

Shoots grow upwards in their own special place

Planted in the ground for their world grace

Red and yellow, black and white

Bloom in beauty, side by side

Sweet and delicate each blossom is

Vivid and strong in fields, like seas

Millions upon millions these flowers are

Spreading their fragrance near and far

Each standing with another, none forlorn

All long remembered after they're gone

Like a flower is each precious child

Who is only here for a little while

Unique, irreplaceable everyone is

From the most prominent to the least

The hands that tend the seeds must indeed

Tend lovingly and tirelessly for indeed...

Each seed has potential

To grace the world

For every individual

Himself or herself is a jewel
